Aviva is making changes to their Individually Rated Commercial Automobile (IRCA) rates for policies underwritten by Aviva Insurance Company of Canada (Aviva).  The changes will come into effect on July 1, 2026, for new business and renewals.

Rate changes    

• The vehicle rate group for Commercial Vehicles (COV) and Inter Urban Vehicles (IUB) has been updated to reflect the 2026 MSRP table.
• Adjusting vehicle rate groups (VRG). The premium change on individual policies will vary depending on risk characteristics. The overall impact is as follows:
  • New Brunswick: -0.33%
  • Newfoundland: -0.32%
  • Nova Scotia: -0.61%
  • Prince Edward Island: -0.53%
  • Ontario: -0.16%
  • Alberta: -0.27% − IUB only
